Okay, hear me out. I’m looking for some advice.

1. I’ve produced a lot of written content over the last few years about Bitcoin (and also a little bit about psychedelics).
2. Most of it is sitting on single-points-of-failure like Medium, Bitcoin Magazine, Swan.com, Citadel21, etc….
3. I want to put it where it won’t get obliterated if there’s a crackdown on such content or if these individual entities disappear.
4. I’m looking for suggestions on how to use nostr effectively to do that.
4a) I do have a high-powered start9OS machine, but don’t yet run a nostr relay on it, although I am willing to learn how, if that’s the right approach.
4b) I want to know how to accomplish this goal in a way that people can actually easily find the content if they are looking for it, and on this point I don’t have any good ideas.
4c) I’d love to include images if I can inline where they belong in the written articles.
4d) It would be really nice to preserve the few movies I’ve been involved in making this way too.

I’m open to all suggestions and assistance and will try to answer any questions any of you ostriches have for me about this.
I'm not a content creator myself... But, Ghost (available on Start9 as well) might be a good solution for you.

I was thinking about this but it is also a single point of failure: my machine. I want decentralized hosting with easy accessibility.
Good question, I think Habla is built for this Habla.news/faq although I haven't used it. I see it as a decentralized kind of Blog front-end like medium.
Check out the video, you can markup your posts on Habla and publish it on multiple relays: https://v.nostr.build/HCCfzGzvJ5NuJj6a.mp4
I think when publishing an article it gets broadcasted to other nostr based long read platforms as well like https://blogstack.io.

Hopefully this helps.
 Signing up now for this.
I see your article show up, what’s your take on the Habla editor? nostr:naddr1qvzqqqr4gupzpk9ult8ump6ar939rv8flntfxtukpc3wghf7dnzgezvfz74fwezmqqxnzdejxsmnsve3xqcryvfnzyzaf9
So far so good. Wish it were easier to incorporate images, but as far as text goes (which is the most important part) I figured things out pretty quick.
Well done. Now, off you go, explore and expand upon the infinite possibilities that lead to even more transformative insights...
Thanks. My article shows up on Damus, but not Primal. Is primal not yet Habla-aware?
Just start posting on Nostr, run a relay, back it up in your own server
Use #nostr apps to share it here - get some paid relays for reach and your own for back up -
Run ghost and the relay on start9, use yakihonne.com or the other long form stuff. Backup your images locally and Also use blossom if important and not fluff
 You’re in the right place.
Welcome.

Don't forget to make a backup on a external drive as well. Everything might be banned but not your own drive. If I were you I make 2 copies just incase one drive fails. Storage is not expensive but making 2 backups is a time consuming job but considering the work you put in writings maintaining 2 backup copies is nothing.
Own y our data and self host a ghost blog. Then you can always reference your work there no matter what platform or conversation you partake in.
Using Habla.news or Highlighter.com or any other client that supports long form content would be perfect for this. Then you could publish to any relay, including your own that you run. If it's a relay that you run, you need to make it accessible by the world for the world to be able to read the content. That's the only hard part technically speaking. Otherwise you just publish it wide and far to other relays. As for the media, you would need to use a media server such as blossom or any Nostr media host such as nostrcheck.me or Nostr.build to host the media content. You can also spin up your own, but again this is a bit more technical.
A lot of people use Highlighter for long-form content. It's part of the Nostr ecosystem. I haven't used it yet but I've read others' articles using it.
I'm interested in this too, Tomer.

The best I've seen for preserving content on Nostr is Nostr.Build. However, under the hood, it uses the Amazon cloud and cloudflare, so that's your failure point, eventually.

I think the answer of posting to many relays, including your own, is a pretty good answer at this point. I don't know if it's perfect, but it seems worth trying.

So, post in many different places and services. That seems to be a good approach, even if there's no guarantee.

Nostr is honestly too nascent to expect to rely exclusively on any one app for any length of time IMO.

I have faith Nostr will survive, but I can't speak to any relay or domain right now. I think some rugging will occur, and there will be many events containing dead links.

I'm trying to maintain redundant personal backups.
Maybe you could use Amethyst and its new torrents update. Torrents are peer to peer, so no single point of failure

 Hey Tomer,
I had many of your concerns, just start by putting Primal or Damus on your phone, and follow all your friends and go on Lyn Alden’s page and see which of her relays you don’t have, and add them to yours. You’ll have lots of relays that way.
Other Nostriches can take you further down the Nostr rabbit hole, and I would love to see what all hits your artistic and philosophical buttons. There will be plenty that does!
I have been interested in finding the exact same kind of alternative
Alternatives are never exactly the same.
Find anything that seems promising to you? I was sent this the other day from a friend. https://highlighter.com/reads/top
If you use enough other relays your content will be persistent enough for now. Use Habla.news to post long form articles.

So in practice I recommend
1. Add lots of popular relays to your account
2. Sign in with your account on Habla and post your articles
3. At some later time you can sort out running your own relay too
This is what I’m gonna do. When I find myself with time on my hands I’m gonna repurpose old articles. It’s a pain in the ass, but better safe than sorry. And it’ll be good nostr content.
Awesome, can't wait to read them.
I think my first suggestion would be https://highlighter.com/.
This would enable you to go back through your history of articles and posts, and bring them all into Nostr.

Another option would be to generate PDF versions of each of the articles, and then share them to IPFS via IPFS Desktop. Then you would be able to provide links to each article, and you can be guaranteed that they will always be the original PDF versions that you posted.
 Gonna check this out tomorrow.

Yeah I'd say rewrite them as markdown docs and store them in your nostr RS relay on s9

maybe some client will make a markdown renderer at some point
github pages works great for this as well, if you make it all into a github repo

you could store it all in Gitea, Nextcloud, or Filebrowser as well
 Mmm, psychedelics. Curious to reas!
 Read~
Seems like psychedelics + bitcoin + meditation are super related
Here’s a couple of psychedelic inspired pieces:

Love it! psychedelics I've been one of the best tools in my entire life to making me a better version of myself.

May not be for everybody, but there's still insanely underutilized..
Writing my own pieces on 5meo dmt and 25g of dried shrooms
Shit, wish it was already on NOSTR, could make notes on the article itself and share it here
Delighted that you are conscious of making literary production (of whatever kind) available to others. I recommend that you go to the Dark Web. Real journalists have fled the dull media that only publish what the elites want. Projects like ProPublica publish uncensored news. There are plenty of places to publish. But if you feel the need, you can publish yourself on the DarkWeb.
let's talk more about how people can PURGE so they can start fresh and follow the Bitcoin Code
