Good morning! I wonder how many people on the left will now find #Nostr and freedom tech in order to escape their fear of the right….to then discover that they were being programmed by their centralized media and tech overlords all along. #Bitcoin #Nostr

Thought about this too. For the past 4 years conservatives have felt pushed to the fringes and dramatically moved into Bitcoin and Nostr. Seems natural that the same thing could happen on the left.

Speaking with #american #USA #women … we don’t want to be made into forced decisions. We read Project 2025 & it’s not good for most anyone. Once they overturned Roe Vs Wade & most men didn’t respect women’s right to choose … it angered many of us. Why are men’s rights always the first priority? IF American 🇺🇸 men cared about women the ERA would have passed. FFS 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s been more than 100 years. And #fren I don’t fear the right. I’ve seen the results of toxicity firsthand and up close. So kindly & respectfully: just don’t.

Drinking water is poisoned in many areas as time has shown. See Flint Michigan as one example. Shelter isn’t equitable when many corporations are buying up properties. Gentrification takes place. Where are the people supposed to go? Good quality food? How do you define that? Rachel Carson warned us but now we have GMO’s, Monsanto poisoned waterways. It’s truly a silent spring. So again: NO ONE in the #USA has basic human rights. Most just aren’t willing to do the research 🔬 & fight for others.

I guess to answer the question about men having rights. Rights are only those which you can procure. Women have the rights to totally ruin a mans life. One phone call and a woman calls big burly men to beat up her man and throw him into jail. So what are you afraid of? Women wield the state powers.

The #USA has multiple issues to contend with. I’m not afraid of anything as I’m good. My work is for others. Obviously 🙄 1. Most rapists aren’t prosecuted properly because even when they are the time served isn’t enough. 2. grew up in a purple state that went red while I was gone & see the difference now. 3. Two party system has always been bad. 4. Rape testing kits are often backlogged because **AGAIN** men don’t care about women. This isn’t a one state issue. 5. The United States has been brainwashed to feed big corporations & fiat . #FollowTheMoney 6. 99% are controlled by ultra wealthy and refuse to unite to demand the top 1% pay their fair share. 7. For the first time in known USA history the top 1% is wealthier than the 99% & everyone is like … seems cool 😎 😂 8. My focus is on more equity for humanity 9. Don’t want another boots on ground war in the USA as we already have to contend with all the others 10. Many in the USA don’t realize they are already wealthier than most throughout the world & are spoiled because of it. Or last? Time will tell.

I'm curious about something as I watch the debates around abortion: isn't Dobbs essentially good news? It allows the fight to be more local and for the people of each state to create laws that reflect their beliefs on abortion. There are folks who believe that abortion at any stage is murder; others who believe that no matter what it should be the woman's choice. These two are fundamentally incompatible view points; there's no reconciling them. But if abortion rights are decided at the state level we don't need to reconcile them. This is not an ideal situation (for either side) especially in the short term, but it seems a relatively reasonable solution for the country.

Example: after Jan 6 : I **knew** Indiana would get hit first for abortion rights. Why? Cause that sellout veteran Senator Todd Young lacks character. He didn’t want to pass the #PACTACT either that benefited #veterans But I’ve met him in person so I’ve known for years he’s a **YES MAN** who will sell out to the highest bidder. So if you have a state House of Representatives that are mainly RED ( because it was stacked ) cause humans don’t work locally … this happens. Hence why I say to work locally ALL THE TIME. Sure you can argue the morality all you want but when people **BUY** their seats 💺 & don’t do anything about rape victims At one time Indiana had over 5000 untested rape kits ..: we have to pick our battles. 🛎️These two are fundamentally incompatible view points; there's no reconciling them. My body my choice in the context of abortion is just power projection without accountability. Your brain is a few steps away from: I have the power, my choice, you can die. If you can’t fight for the sanctity of life in your own body, how can I ever trust you with power over others? As soon as the pressure is on , you capitulate and abort (kill the challenge to self). No self sacrifice for another’s life. Before rape or incest is brought up as an exception, all I am asking for is that you fight for an innocent child’s life. Giving up for adoption to a loving home is always an option. I know many people that are unable to have children and they have abundant love waiting to be given. That is all.

lol except that it isn’t and purely depends on perspective. One side would say it’s the corrupt billionaires because they are the ones corrupting the govt. the other side would say that the problem with the govt is that it is ALWAYS corrupted, so having it big and powerful is just creating incentives to *create* corrupt billionaires. In the market people actually have to appeal to voluntary customers. In govt they get stolen funds and contracts from the money printers. In other words they cannot be separated from each other. It’s a virtuous (or malicious?) feedback loop.

Governance is not a simple idea, so there are no simple answers. Yes, taking the meme literally is not the best way to understand the realities of our situation. Taxes are an inevitable part of cooperative society. You could try to exist outside of this, but now you also need a military, trade agreements, internal governance... and you've arrived back at cooperative society. It seems impossible to avoid "taxes", so a better angle would have an opinion on how they would work better. You also need some way to deciding how to run this cooperative agreement, which brings you into theory of government and basis of power. It's easiest to say that one dollar is one vote, but people with fewer dollars won't want to participate in that system. So you set up democracy so they feel like equals. They're not, but it's better than pointing out who's actually responsible for the state of the world. Soon they realize that democracy is a facade and dollars are power, so they try to redistribute the wealth in order to stabilize the social fabric. The wealthy don't want their wealth dissipated, and they push back by convincing voters that this thing they will benefit from isn't in their interest. You can see how this is going to vacillate. Which is how you arrive at the traditional strategy of old money: staying humble and stacking sats.

Because free markets don't allow for corporations, nevermind ones that have control and special licenses, monopolies, import/export contracts, defense contracts, regulatory and environmental permits, etc...

It depends on what is defined as "left". When it comes to economy, I think that, for most people, actually seeing bitcoin communities become better off than fiat communities would be the most impactful (unless they just become bitter because they "didn't get bitcoin in time"), although Austrian economic theory might appeal to some of the more intellectual ones. When it comes to the other stuff that, particularly in the US, is associated with left/right, no, probably not. That mostly has to do with how you see other people (though in a quite strange mix IMO), and isn't likely to change.

Leftists are some of the fiercest Monero-using, E2EE privacy advocates I know. I fear a large plurality (if not majority) of people are not capable of such a perspective change. They have attached their worldview to their core identity. I hope I’m not right about that but we’ll see I guess.
