 I think rulers (like tribal chiefs) are necessary, but not everyone must be a chief. And then if the ruler does not abuse his people, they are not slaves. And where they are slaves, both sides are to blame: the ruler and the slaves.

 I actually think this is possible. All that is needed is for people to unlearn the indoctrination of competition. We were taught that competition in general is natural, positive and necessary. That is false. Competition is only natural and necessary in the area of maintaining oneself. If there is competition, you compete for food and resources that you want for yourself. That is it. Everywhere else competition is evil. If you have had enough good food, sex and sleep, that is it - you take a rest. You do not give a damn about others. Nobody cares if anyone had more food, sex, or sleep. They know what they need, you know what you need. It does not matter who needs what more. You just need to know what you need not relative to the needs of others. And you would know that if not for the indoctrination.
