At the end, those that worshipped the calf were swallowed by the earth (that doesn't apply to Bitcoin though, we are bullish AF)
 Not exactly.
As far as I can tell, they were given a second chance.

I teased out the idea in the following paper I wrote for the Church at large to understand #Bitcoin through the lens of the Exodus story.

Skip to the end of page 32 and top of page 33 for the part referencing the Moses finding the Israelites worshiping the golden calf. 🤙

Lmk what you think 👇

The Google Doc doesn’t have it split into pages, so you’re looking for the section entitled “Building A Dwelling Place” for the reference to Moses and the golden calf

Would love your thoughts 💭 on this 🤝
I only read the section you referred to, but I think the idea that the Israelites receiving Egypt's gold on their way out could be seen as a sort of "reparations" for their slave labor is intriguing. Good on you for trying to 'orange-pill' your church family!

As for the Israelites getting a 'second chance,' in one sense that's true (Deuteronomy = 'second [giving of the] law')--but in a more important sense, the law was given to reveal their need for Christ (per Romans, Galatians, etc.), while pointing to him at the same time (per Hebrews). 🤙

I didn’t know that’s what Deuteronomy meant. Very interesting. Thank you for the feedback, friend. 🤝
Yeah, I read that part of the bible almost 20 years ago 😅. Sorry for the inaccuracy
