So true. "wisely" compiles to different meanings. The old folks (presidents, candidates, heads of ...) show a preference for FIAT as they "bank" on the fact that they'll be dead or at least brain-dead by the time their policies manifest themselves. For the young leaders ( @jack mallers) a morally and ethically sound foundation is more compelling. By the nature of life and death the young people always win in the long run.
