Little known fact: if your nostr.build subscription expires, we will maintain your media online for an additional year if you choose not to renew. Your account will remain open for you to login and delete anything you uploaded during subscription period. If you choose to renew again, you’ll regain full capabilities as before. We have yet to delete a single account, but I think next year around February we will have a first batch of abandoned accounts to purge. 🫂🫡 

 I’ve wondered about this. What would happen in the event a subscriber (for example) goes into a 5-year coma, do they come back to a deleted account with all media erased? 

 It’s a tricky thing. We could technically store it in cold storage for some time, but would they want it to be stored? Hard balancing act of privacy and posterity 

 So if you die in the real world you die on nostr.build. 

 We can bury your media, yes 😂😂😂 

 How about adding a trusted legacy delegate? Would that be possible?

 Is there a set expiration period for media posted on the free version? 

 None so far, but that may change in the future to maintain paid customers and survivability 🫡
