 @5b00f2ed it's a complete dumpster fire. It's as if the publishers are forcing you to use their mobile app so they can acquire more of your data....

 @40bf96e5 @5b00f2ed are the mobile apps actually any better? I nope out of such publications instead of doing so much more work to try to get at whatever content they clearly don't value either.

 @2d41a112 @5b00f2ed I don't honestly know if they're an improvement, but I want to believe they are. 

(NY Times app is the ONLY newsy app I use, but that's because I subscribe; totally worth the $3/month)

But I still prefer RSS for consuming web content. That's getting more and more challenging.
