When people say “you got lucky” to me I think I’m going to start responding “actually I’m one of the people who made this happen”

I suggest you do the same.

Collectively together. We did this.

No normie envy can ever undo that simple fact.
 We did it! 🫡🫂
If you remember, I told you about it.
 Thank you for your work
 🫡
You still talk to people? Waste of time & energy.
But are we truly ready to let go of Satoshi's "I don't have time'?
Hodling is not for the faint of heart.

We earned this shit 🫡
They will never fully understand, and that's fine
People without agency cannot understand agency. Bitoiners are Agents. Few.

GONNA TELL MY GRANDKIDS ABOUT THE GREAT MEME WARS AND HOW WE CREATED A NEW SOCIAL CONTRACT FOR THE NEXT MILLENNIUM
Given how stories get twisted over time, it'll be interesting to see how this all gets spoken about in 50 years: when & what people will claim to have understood, how skeptical they'll claim to have been of legacy system, how things could having gotten to the point where this level of change had become inevitable...
 Based
Thank you. I am just happy to be a fly on the wall amongst the caliber of ya'll.
I just ask them "How did tens or hundreds of thousands of people reach the same conclusion, commit to the same strategy, and all achieve the same results?

"Did we all get lucky together?

"Or were you just too busy sneering to pay attention?"

Hodl:
I took that personally.
No normie will say this to me because when I'm around normies I generally don't talk about bitcoin.

It's called opsec. That or a wrench upside the head
I had to look at your name to see if I had already commented here. That's verbatim what I was going to say.
There are no bystanders on nostr, everyone here is the reason bitcoin is winning.
 Facts
I got a thank you note from someone I explained bitcoin to years ago. Those saying “you got lucky” today may be those who will say thank you tomorrow.
Two people close to me have thanked me and it made all the past 4 years of shilling worth it. People like that are incredible.
 This.
There’s a difference in being lucky and paying attention. You don’t know what value is if you don’t care enough to pay attention to how the banking system or current monetary policy is corrupt. You find something interesting. You study it. You embrace it. You teach it. That’s not luck.
 Ok yea I love this.
 "...lucky"
??
i haven't heard that one yet. but, lol... we were here long before most.

we did do this.

 Oh I love this

 Brilliant, on the case.
We are the backbone of the #bitcoin network.
 oh did something happen?
I gotta say this thread has a spiking the ball in the end zone feel. Not strong humble vibes. I smell a major crash on the way to bring us back to earth.
 Don’t be afraid of winning
I don't see it as a game where we are still judged in fiat terms. Don't get me wrong. I am sure there are many people in Africa right now that are happythey met Anita Poach. They are probably also celebrating in El Salvador and Nigeria. We just need to focus on the real goals.
 What are the real goals?
So when people lose money on an investment, does it mean they were just unlucky?
No it means they we’re stupid
 Exactly
So true. Great tweet. I was telling @Stackmore this. Ppl like Saylor literally learned from ppl like us. It’s all connected . We were there. We are responsible for this
 and you are bro 💪
when eternal riches and tig ol bitties tho… asking for a friend
You did fluke it though you jammie bastard...
"If you think it was luck, let's do it again." Cole Trickle
"You got lucky" => "Thou shalt not covet..."

I just don't understand people with that outlook - I'd much rather celebrate someone's success (because almost always it comes from a lot of hard, hard work).
The little they know that they are the ones getting lucky.
This is a perfect response! ty!
Actually I’m one of the people who made this happen! 😎

 The self-fulfilling prophecy
When I first time heard about it, I immediately decided that I wanted to be a part of Bitcoin.
But I knew most people wouldn't understand.
Now I know it doesn't matter at all!
There is no such thing as luck. There is only risk and reward.
I just say that I am lucky that God made me intelligent
Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.

 I love this perspective!!
I have VERY little to offer the bitcoin ecosystem, other than holding it and the nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7erfw36x7tnsw43z7un9d3shjqpq26ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns90y63y node I run. But by taking the little I had and putting it into bitcoin, I too helped make this happen.
My goal was to benefit me and my family with an asset I could 'trust' and not feel bad about holding, I never considered my holding benefited others holding, and they benefitted me, but it's true isn't it?
Seems to me Bitcoin is infinitely divisible, and so is the credit for it. I get less than a 'satoshi's worth', but I'm pleased and frankly proud to do what little I've been able to... to make this happen.
