So what do they say are the hard parts that are preventing them from a customized trending list? There’s a part of me that says a hard coded trending list is worse than none at all.
I’m not entirely clear why primal hasn’t pushed harder on this from DAY ONE… but I suspect it has to do with shifting paradigms. WoT filtering (done right) requires some infrastructure (as we’ve discussed) and some additional work by the end user (configuring filters) in order to provide satisfactory results. In turn, this requires investors and developers to think differently about what is “important content” for each user … paradigm shifting takes time. That’s my take.
