On the question of bitcoin partisanship:

Even though where the culture war is concerned I am firmly on the right.

I have voted for republicans and democrats in the past.

These days as a Bitcoiner I am a true single issue voter.

I will vote for whoever is best for Bitcoin.

This election that’s trump.

If next election it’s a democrat I will vote for them.

My vote is up for grabs.

Do right by bitcoin and I will support you.

Simple.

Bitcoin is not partisan.
I see your point. If I was American I assume I’d vote for Trump. Luckily in Germany we have more than two parties, so it’s more obvious not voting is the better choice because parties and politicians are all equally shit. Having said that…

Trump is a shitcoiner by proxy.

Long term best for Bitcoin was adversarial action, not support.
Politicians are all shit the world over lol but we have to vote to protect ourselves because bitcoin is inherently political
Everything is inherently political in a fiat world. Except voting. Voting is the illusion of influence. I see the case this time though.
 Isn't Bitcoin apolitical?
You can’t separate money and politics
No, you can't. That was evident to the founders from day 1 and a reason they tried to limit the government (save a few). Limit the power of government. It's the only way.
What did having more parties do for the ppl? Couldn’t you argue having a lot of parties decentralized support in the right so now you have to deal with shutting down nuclear, immigration mess, selling btc, etc.
I wrote what it did for people: it made transparent that it’s not “the other party” because there is multiple parties and they’re all equally shit.

On “decentralized support in the right” I’d say yes it seems like this. Even Germany’s “far-right” party argues this is the case but I’d say it’s more that the original Conservative Party in Germany stopped being conservative and went woke under Merkel but conservative people need more time to realize this and take action. They’re conservative in the end… lol
RFO would be "best" for Bitcoin, but he has no chance of winning because nobody votes for a third party.
He just needs 34% of the vote to win
It's only through people constantly saying "he has no chance" that it actually plays out this way. If the people saying "he has no chance" would actually just vote for the guy there would be a much better chance of him getting elected. (And he does have enough potential electoral votes to win the presidency)
Follow what speaks to you. We don’t see trump or bitcoin here our media is censored heavily. 😆We can’t even dl Tor without it being blocked
But Trump sounds like he’s just saying what he needs to say to get votes… RFK on the other hand seems to be genuinely pro Bitcoin and sounds like he knows what he’s talking about or at least willing to learn….
What are your primary reasons for Trump over RFK with respect to Bitcoin?
rfk is not backed by a party.
“There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution”

- John Quincy Adams October 2nd, 1780

I understand a lot of people think RKF has no chance, but he is clearly the Bitcoin candidate. He truly gets it. Also, if Bitcoiners as a group threw their support behind him, he would have a much better chance. Imagine if this new super PAC, including Coinbase, throwing millions at Trump decided to instead put it behind RFK, that could make a big difference.
If you live in a swing state a Trump vote is better than for the communists.

If you live in a state that the outcome is all but decided then the RFK vote is a fuck this I'm for Bitcoin signal.
I get your point but …. What about RFK? I feel we should vote for who is better for Bitcoin and not for who has a better chance to win. We need to signal to the politicians what we truly want. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t like the “don’t split the vote” bs. I think politicians made that statement up so we stay only between the two parties.
Exactly what i was thinking, RFK definitly gets it. Trump seems very far from the rabbit hole, he keeps talking crypto
I'm voting for RFK Jr. He does have a chance, despite what the news media is telling everyone.
Trump team on the verge of launching a shitcoin. It doesn’t matter who the president is. They will all print.

Tick tok, next block
i understand single issue voters, i am not one of them though. i was a registered republican from 1998 until 2016. i mostly voted republican, but sometimes voted democrat., depending on who i felt was best for the job. after the rise of the maga, i decided that i could no longer be associated with that party. it became really weird to see people worship a political figure. after that, i registered democrat and i have mostly voted democrat since. i consider myself fiscally conservate and socially liberal. i feel that bitcoin doesn't need government approval, but sure, it does help with adoption. ill continue to vote whom i think can do the best overall job.
We had opposite conclusions. I voted democrat until 2020 when I saw the lefts reaction to trump. It became apparent to me then that these people were a corrupt permanent bureaucracy who didn’t feel constrained one iota by the democratic will of the American people. Who also didn’t share, believe in or respect common American values or social norms.
To me, it's odd how I could have the exact same response as this to how I feel about the Republican party. We are so damn politically divided as a society. I hate it. Our opposite conclusions and vilifying the opposite side makes me believe that we're being played by the government and the media as a whole. Both sides of this spectrum probably have some fair points and fair policies, but because we frame our differences so publicly now, political parties have to be extremely different and go to the far side of the spectrum to stand out so that they can be viewed as the polar opposite. We barely have any bi-partisan issues that parties and people just agree upon for the good of the nation. What the fuck? Most people aren't extremely left or extremely right. What the fuck? Love you brother. Appreciate your insight on this.
division will be employed! biomedical, political, socioeconomic, genetics, etc.
I think the media environment has a lot to do with it. Frankly though I’m only ever worried about the party in power. Right now that’s liberals. When the conservatives were in control I was liberal. Now that the liberals control society I am conservative. I will likely always be in opposition to the dominate authoritarian side. Just what feels right to me.
They all need to get thrown out on their ass and reminded of who really runs shit!
 Why not RFK ?
Im at a point where I vote for who will be least embarrassing. And this election, I cannot tell.
Not an American but lived in LA for four years.

As left & liberal as it can get. Was under the crowd mentality (was not that blatantly bad under Obama back then) and was subconsciously thinking like the left (i.e. would have voted Dems if I were American).

Then worked at a Texas-based company (and Texas) for a bit. Then became a full bitcoiner. Then saw how crazy things have become in 2024 for the Dems. Even high profile, life-long dems are struggling to justify their actions this year.

Makes sense to vote for Trump this time around.

By next election both sides will have to be pro-bitcoin to have any chance of winning.
