I want my flying car. How the FAA Is Keeping Flying Cars in Science Fiction Flying cars would have been here decades ago if they were regulated differently. #freemarkets #austrianeconomics #anarchocapitalism #libertarian https://fee.org/articles/how-the-faa-is-keeping-flying-cars-in-science-fiction/
Think of the freakin noise though. Like helicopters endlessly circling your house
That just gives us a reason to build giant futuristic noise cancelling pagodas.
I get that innovation is stifled by the current regulation regime. This article is written by someone with little to no real world experience and too much time in front of a screen. One of the primary issues in the control of regulation is that the public pull of inevitable mass adoption doesn't exist. The additional, necessary training to learn how to navigate in three dimensions is not solely limited by cost. There is a maximum amount of effort that the general public will spend in learning how to operate complex systems.
If it's just a problem of regulation, why hasn't some tiny country attracted all the flying car investment by having different regulations?
