During the first six months of this year, China was the biggest spender on renewable energy, investing about half of the world's total $358 billion in solar power.

The US was next, investing $25.5 billion in solar, a 75% increase from the previous year. 

In other words, China has invested an order of magnitude more into renewable energy than US.
