Moose stew today 🫎 https://m.primal.net/JzRR.mov
Which alcohol will you use?
rum??
Rum (sugar cane) reminds me of the Carribean. I'll choose a liquor from the shared territory where mooses live. Maybe a whiskey to deglaze the sugar from the meat.
Squirrel stew tomorrow
Yep can’t wait, chicken of the tree!
Needs some butter…
It has 250g of butter already, and will add 5dl of cream later on :)
I’ve been meaning to buy a Dutch oven for stews. Which one are you using and what are some pros and cons to it?
We have a le creuset. Very happy with it, durable high quality, haven’t seen any cons
I live for my Le Creuset
i have chemistry background and steam baths are my favourite thing 72`C forever and ever amen, no matter as much as 30% variance in salinity
Steam room > Sauna although I like this sauna too
well, steam is less IR more conduction i think if your goal is to sweat like a pig then sauna
also, just to clarify: steam bath means one pot with boiling water at a gentle roll (about 85-90`c) with a second, isolated, sealed (usually) container with a second solution, often in a low boiling solvent like ethanol or heptane or similar it's also very handy for even lower boilers like methanol and diethylether, to keep them at a nice clip, just don't forget your boiling chips unless you like to have boiling hot solvent spit out the end of the condenser lol
Man that is some lean meat. I don’t think I’ve ever had moose before. Looks very promising! Hope you post a final product.
