I’m curious about domain names. I have a not particularly technical friend that just revamped her $name.wordpress.com blogsite. Can she be her @ her @ her dot wordpress.com web site ?

Is this foreseen in the hosting ? Is there a guide for dummy blogger to turn it on wordpress.com ?
@Luca Sironi @Alex Kirk @3ae7e2cf @8d183749 @6d4c1be9 @a3a5e59c @8911bdc9 We have not released it on WordPress.com yet, so that's why there are no guides yet :)

It is planned to have a really simple version for $name.wordpress.com sites, without all the setup options that are currently possible, to not distract/confuse users. For the first release, the username will be `$name.wordpress.com@$name.wordpress.com`

This is nice, because Mastodon will strip show only the part before the `@`, so it will always show the domain. See @Matthias Pfefferle
