I've been having this issue for a month or two and it's really frustrating. My current router is 22 months old. It's still under warranty for another 2 months. But honestly, I don't know if an RMA is going to fix the issue. It's been incredibly solid until recently though. I really don't want to buy another router.
pings to my gateway work fine when its down just not to the external network. so its either an internal fault that I can't see on my router or there's a serious problem between my house and the uplink point.
For a while I thought it was someone DDoSing one of my services, but I believe this is not the case.
Hmm. Maybe I'll run a ping test and see what happens. I can't even diagnose shit because the router nukes it's local system log each time it randomly rebooted.
yes I wonder if because my lightning node is exposed that it is getting ddos'd occasionally, or there is some failsafe on the ISP side that stops the attack but also takes down my internet
ISPs have shit infrastructure
my ISP does not give v6 to even their business customers even though they could
what year is it
they even announce IPv6 routes.
Heh. I thought you hated v6. Also I've thought about disabling v6 to see if that's what's causing it.
Oh, I do hate it. But also I hate it less than NAT.
I have a /32 on my home network for an additional 2$.
I assume v4
(I think the way i wrote this is misleading)
I have one v4 and 2³² v6
so a /96… wtf? 😂
Standard allocation should be /64, no?
For the isp, yes. they have one
I won't complain, 'cause I can barely use like a 100
