Good morning #nostr 😘
#coffeechain #plebchain
I recently learned that this is Saylor’s first halving, just like me. (Correct me if I’m wrong!)
The reason he has a large platform & speaks on #Bitcoin to the media is because he already had wealth and access to debt to buy a lot of Bitcoin.
Unlike other now wealthy & loud bitcoiners who stacked early, Saylor hasn’t “earned” his platform in Bitcoin world in the same way.
Like him or not, that’s the reality of this situation. Right? Sure he was already in the technology space, there is that… but does everything he says need to be debated by this community?
How many other millionaires/billionaires who are learning about bitcoin just now will lead our global discussions on bitcoin adoption and technology? How much of our attention do they *automatically* get?
I would hope we give at least the same attention to early adopters who had very little and risked it all on what they believed. Their conviction is more compelling to me. & their perspective is more valuable.
He was around for the last one, but he was brand new last time, it I'm correct. At least as an institutional hodler.
In my #bitcoin journey, @Ian always says you gotta experience at least one halving then overtime you understand Bitcoin better. That’s why learning that this is Saylor’s first-ish has me surprised. He is referenced so often!
This is true. This is my third, but I was completely unaware of the first, became aware of the last one, but was distracted by 💩🪙s.
Now, I have Zen.
See, that is a more relatable experience for most interested in learning more about #Bitcoin. & you catching on 10 years ago just means you’re actually an early adopter (which I am not, just like most people on the planet) so I would actually have something to learn from you about how to open my mind to new ideas
You're doing great, as determined by listening to your pod!
Think he got in around 2017 no? Maybe that was personally instead of with MSTR. Either way I think that people like to idolize or demonize too easily. Personally I think he may have had good reason to stop btc devs being directly paid by ETF institutions. That was my understanding of why people took a dislike to him. That and he doesn't like BTC as a currency.
Thank you for explaining this. And he has a right to that opinion. Seems like because of his immense holdings of btc everyone gets panicked if they don’t agree with his opinion. As if he’s in charge. Let’s not give one person that much influence over something decentralized.
Good Morning friend
Blessings
Pura vida
GM! ☀️Totally agree but he has connections to government and other powerful people which can make it a bumpy ride.
It would help if the suits would read the first line of the white paper. What part of this sentence suggests bitcoin should not be used for payments?
I get Saylor orange pilled a bunch of noobs, but you should I don't know, read the abstract of the white paper before arguing against bitcoin payments.
