Oddbean new post about login | logout I've noticed that the vast amount of bitcoin influencers have not showed up here on nostr yet. I dont think they care. They just want views and clicks and monetizing their fiat denominated channels. I guess we know who's incentives line up. You couldn't pay me to go back to the old social networks. It's painful to be there. You end up censoring yourself or getting censored, ridiculed, and people pick fights instead of start a dialog. It's exhausting. I'm so glad to be here 🤙

If you remove the npub and replace it with bc1 you end up with a taproot adresse. It is the same 😀
I don't pick fights, but I struggle with self-censorship. It didn't used to be that way. I even censor myself in my handwritten #journals, which is wrong. I want to write about whatever I want and have it be OK. I don't want to shape it into something semiformal, polish it, check for typos or analyze it from a potential client's, employer's, or lawyer's perspective before I hit "Post."
I was constantly on this from the other platforms too. But I realised that if we live in a world that we cannot speak our mind reasonably and constructively then we have failed as a humanity. It will hinder us from growing. 😀

I second that! I am still. using my Tiktok to gain awareness about this platform. But I no longer go there to consume content.
I believe regardless of the platform, we have social responsibility which content we want to promote (positive and negative), to pick fights or to defend or to have a constructive dialogue. I am rooting for the latter. 🤓
