really ? must be the school.. I was in school at that same time n didn’t get encouraged by the school to read it
I mean even when I was in school 25 years ago, it wasn’t required even in AP literature classes, but it was on lists of recommended reads to get credit for… we were recently talking about good books for my teenage son to read and she had said that she read it in one of her high school classes because it was recommended.
That’s crazy I wish I knew about it back then!! 🤯
