Listening to Milei on Lex Fridman. I don’t understand why people love him considering his stance on property theft in the Middle East.

Personally that makes him a dick head. Why are powerful libertarians so into property theft? I thought that was a principle of theirs.

Sure, get rid of government shit but then transferring more power to the military and Theil surveillance death tech. Thats not a win.

 nobody is perfect
he's doing great for Argentina
inflation is down
economy is growing

he was the best choice

Have you tried contracting a mechanic to help here with these floaters having division problems?

That’s as maybe but then why not focus on his own country?

Theft is theft and he supports it, not just a little, he’s all in with the program.

I sincerely hope things work out for the Argentinian people but more so I want to see an end to death and destruction in the Middle East. The USA (and UK) have no business in being there.
is that the reality or what the media is telling you?

Last I checked, people were heading into abject poverty in Argentina, digging for food in bins. And that was what, 3 months ago.

no, it's not the media, I know for a fact

I'm from Paraguay and I live next to Argentina, last month I was in Posadas, and you can feel they are excited for how things are being handled now

of course there's a lot of poverty, can't fix years of government expansion in half a year without majority in Congress

and approval rates of Milei are increasing actually, currently +60%
yeah, changes to reform and corruption will tend to get the country back on track. It's not new policy implementations, it's just cutting the fat really and Argentina can breathe.

IMF got him by the chain and ball
Wow your tune really changed, eh?
 what?
He’s saying your favourite singer is Elvis I think…
 It’s not Elvis still…
 because they are shill's.

I watched about 10 mins before I started getting brain rot. He seems well versed in economics, but there's a reason Austrian economics is fringe - but hey, I'm someone who like's Adam Smith
I do my best to understand economics and keep an open mind, I make a point of listening to opinions I disagree with but economics is really not my field, I like making funny noises and putting them on records.

Sure, do things to promote prosperity, that’s cool but openly, even fanatically supporting genocide and property theft? Fuck that noise.

I wonder if they’ll have another war over the falklands? I’m sure jingoists in both Argentina and england will love that. Get a proper good wank over some corpses.

most likely, with that mindset. However he's leaning to the west, so he'll say it's a birthright or whatever, but will be too cuck to take back the Falklands
You guys are seriously underestimating how significant it is that there now exists a world leader who seems completely fluent in Austrian economics and is (supposedly) actively putting theory into practice.

If you are interested in voluntary open protocols between individuals (like Nostr) and/or sound money and truly free markets (like Bitcoin), you would likely find that you are also very interested in Austrian economics.

If we take him at his word in the interview, he currently has a square table, and even though he'd prefer a round one, he's going to continue with the interview anyway. Tradeoffs, making the best of what you have. For now, I'm going to choose to believe that he is a pragmatist, an Austrian, and maybe even a stoic, and I'm going to enjoy watching such a character run a country.

...or maybe he's a spook! Or just an unhinged theist. I don't know for sure, but it's fun to watch either way.
I am taking him at his word. He supports apartheid and property theft. It ain’t hard, when a government’s army takes your house with violence, I suspect, even with my limited knowledge of Austrian economics, that may not be the free market at work.

How would you describe that?

He’s inconsistent at best.
