🤷‍♂️ call it what you want - people take other ideas and modify them, or use as is. This is how business works - people pop up just to copy something and then they have to compete.
 💯
Yes... And no. I believe is intellectual property. At the same time I believe IP not being used but owned merely for the blockage of fair usage is wrong. We've seen IP companies formed merely for lawfare so that is what I'm against. But if you come out with a novel idea and are not granted the time to develop it and profit from it while other, larger, <insert competitive advantage here>, companies steal it and bury you... Well. How can you support that?

Example: guy who invented those stops fidget spinners was ripped off and copied by Chinese manufacturers within a day of visiting a supplier. He got nothing.

Example2: Chinese auto manufacturers copying designs of luxury vehicles for years.

Yes, both examples given are Chinese who have a competitive advantage in manufacturing and wage/employee matters. Both examples highlight that the skill and knowledge to come up with the idea is devalued and reduces incentive to innovate.

Let me ask you this: would you be ok with your govt doing the same thing?
