Researchers have developed a new framework for preserving privacy in cloud computing through immersion-based coding. This innovative approach enables the joint design of coding schemes and algorithms that work on encoded data, without compromising performance or accuracy. The proposed scheme provides any desired level of differential privacy, ensuring user data remains protected. Two use cases demonstrate the effectiveness of this method: optimization/learning algorithms and nonlinear networked control systems.
