True. Character limit requires proof-of-work. It benefits the audience. It forces people to communicate more efficiently.
 It is pseudo proof-of-work.

Sometimes you simply have more to say, and then you break down the tweet into sub-tweets. Personally I found it cumbersome, having to decide where to break a paragraph to then go and create the next part to the reply.

When creating tweets however, it kind of automatically broke up the long message into parts: this was fine.

Just unfollow big-noters as you would decide not to use big-block blockchains if it bothers you too much...
It takes extra work to communicate efficiently and capture the attention of busy readers. It’s real PoW; not pseudo at all.

However, there's no need to debate or unfollow anyone. One can adopt different clients and connect them to specific relays for different needs. For example, PABLOF7z already has a relay designed to ignore long notes. Nostr has so much potential. It’s awesome.
