“The root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that's required to make it work. The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust.” - Satoshi Nakamoto Don’t let nihilistic malthusians like Harari try to convince you that governments and central banks deserve our trust. They have proven time and time again that they most certainly cannot be trusted. This is a terrible psyop to try to wage when the whole world is feeling the pain of inflation caused by governments that can’t be trusted. They’re not sending their best! https://m.primal.net/IFOI.mov
What crack is he on? I want some.... Yes, don't trust - verify....
The speaker is the Israeli author Yuval Noah Harari. He wrote this book. How does he not get it? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_Deus:_A_Brief_History_of_Tomorrow
That's like saying West Germany is communist cos people fled from communism in East Germany to go there 🤦♂️😂
Holy shit this is the concern troll of the century. Ya of course you don’t like bitcoin it fucks up your whole scam bro. He sounds like a fifteen year old trying to report on a book he never read. Need someone to debate this asshole. I vote for @bitcoinpierre throw up the bat signal.
Wow. It is difficult to comprehend how an educated individual can get such fundamentals so profoundly wrong.
I'll trust the government when bacon will stop being delicious
People fan girl out over him too. Not sure why.
The fact that he doesn’t even ask himself why Bitcoin is a distrust money (of course it is!) tells me that, intellectually, he is losing it.
Who’s this fucking idiot “Historian” who didn’t learn anything from what he studied.
Wow the Israeli spook doesn’t like it? Shocker.
Ironically it is ahistorical to sweep the breaches of trust by governments under the rug, or to assume that such centralizing eras are the norm for human societies--they're actually the anomaly. Harari isn't a historian, they're a propagandist
Harari’s explanation of money was too Keynesian, he did explain fractional reserve but instead of criticizing it, he actually supported it, to grow the pie he wrote, since I got into bitcoin and Austrian economics I know how wrong Harari was, I guess he had to write something that will please his Jewish banskter publisher.
Mask off. I don't like a system of money that frees the population from the control of the ruling class. A system of money that empowers the population's rightful distrust of their ruling class. Yeah. Of course you don't like it.
More money doesn’t mean more trust. This motherfucker is a state bitch
Holy strange balls indeed. I think I just listened to an Israeli spy lizard word salad some sort of perverted argument that I should trust the US government (a government that appears to be controlled by his government) because banks and governments should create more money to create more trust? Actually I'm not even sure I got that right. Actually, I not even clear as to what the fuck he just said. So bitcoin is a currency of distrust because it isn't printed by a distrustful government? He is a self-proclaimed historian...did he not read about the history of money before he shat out of his mouth? Bollocks, 2024 is turning out to be 50% confusing and 50% stupid. Ok, back to digging my hole out in the woods to escape the words of turds like this bald Golem spook.
fed and bis - the core of the crime scene
Oh my.
Well that definitely sounds like he's a little bitch of the government and banks.
Bitcoin is built on distrust therefore it’s bad, use my shekel instead.
To use Harari's Sapiens narrative: Bitcoin is a better story than fiat currency, just like how current nation states and major religions won over the past monarchies and mythologies, so too will Bitcoin win over the current aging story of fiat currency.
What a fool. It's not a currency of distrust. It's a trust-less currency. Big difference.
This is Harari? I just don’t get it Marty….why the fuck don’t people understand what the hell is going on? It’s actually VERY simple. 🤦🏻♂️
They ARE sending their best... But the fiat lie has been exposed. It cannot be unseen.
Yes, more money = more trust! Of course! I know everyone feels more trusting of the government every time they go to the grocery store these last 3 years.
that’s sad.. i like his historic books, never thought he was so lost in economics..
do the opposite to whatever this guy says to live your life the right way.
This is why #Bitcoin wins. We shouldn't have to trust statist cucks like Yuval. nostr:nevent1qqsfhvrqvk0wfgrvr7u4rscmc5djm7jfkvq4f88e5k74vkm5hqlcg8cprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqgsywt6ypu57lxtwj2scdwxnyrl3sry9typcstje65x7rw9a2e5nq8srqsqqqqqpe04ayd
💯
Historians are morons
I highly recommend his first book "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" it gives you a great foundation on way of thinking and point of view of the world, what Yuval says here in the video is just his opinion and of course he's wrong on it, the general idea of money and it's history is also well explained in the book and you can take it towards Bitcoin or however you choose.
Hmmmm I wonder what he meant by currency of distrust because it is obvious to me and it’s one main reason why I like bitcoin. It seems he has a different perspective on it.
Him: “Bitcoin is a currency built on distrust.” Me: I already like bitcoin, you don’t need to convince me.
