well, i know that part of the process of falling asleep includes cooling body temperature (because i have this sleep problem also) so i can understand this

knowing that you need a slow descent of core temperature to actually sleep properly might help... timing meals, the content of meals near to sleep, and other things help

certain proteins have a lot of stuff that wakes you up (and causes dream recall) and certain kinds of carbs and alcohol also seem to have this effect (and i've found certain kinds of fermented drinks, especially young brews do this, they make you heat up) and in recent times i have been observing that certain kinds of salts and fats combined in the food also can cause a rise in core temperature... and doing too much exercise just before bedtime also, especially cardio, can affect it, as can, i think, even resistance exercise, but low level exertion for shorter periods at this time don't have a negative effect (not gonna go into detail about that)

so, i can't make a prescription but i think if you followed all those points you might be able to narrow down some things you can do to reduce the increase of body core temp at bedtime that might help
