What makes you the most optimistic right now? Whether that's Bitcoin or something else, I'm curious what makes you excited in the world right now? Mine is the new attention to the fragility if our power grids, discovering mushrooms that can eat plastic, UFO disclosure stuff, and Kratom shaking up the industry of painkillers & opiates - potentially hundreds of thousands or millions of people could be saved by using Kratom to quit/replace/ween off opiates to detox more easily. Psychedelic drug research makes me optimistic for the next 2 decades in regards to mental health approaches/treatments. Bitcoin, obviously.. everything is exciting with Bitcoin. But Nostr coming along at breakneck speed with more clients & functions is massively optimistic for communication technology and human freedom. Keet, Holepunch, "web5" technologies is insanely interesting, still learning what I can. And lastly, the fact that the fiat currency scam is becoming more mainstream - I hear the words "fiat currency" a LOT now even among normal people, let alone all the politicians making that distinction.

Hard to remain optimistic when bitcoiners are letting the gov offer keyless fake bitcoin to other people who don't know any better so they can gain value forgetting what it means to be a bitcoiner.....

It gives me optimism to try to learn about new low cost energy tech that is not so difficult for plebs to use. On a sort of self sufficiency buzz. Recently been learning about plasma tech and chemical transmutation which appears to solve co2 emissions problem (in so far as it is one) and may have energy production uses as well. As I understand it this tech is at room temperature ie cold fusion I think although I'm not an expert. It's very very tiring and old. It's almost as if every 20-30 years the media repeats this pattern and causes mass FUD throughout the public. Listening to the 25(26?!)hr frogtalk the other day, The conspiracy talk at the end was a real wakeup to me as they spoke about all this talk (UFOs, Nuclear War, WW3, etc). But we've been hearing this talk for a VERY long time and nothing has occurred! Just the public growing more and more complacent. Optimism starts with us but at the same time we gotta be quick to shut down the FUDDERS who seem to breathe off this crap. No more.
