 What is going on with teachers’ unions?  Is it money?  I know that some teachers do believe in this stuff, but the only reason to push it this hard would have to be money, right?  Who is paying them?

 I suspect money. The orgs (at least here) that are supplying materials are heavily funded by the government as well as various alphabet charities which get their money from who knows where.

 Just so I understand – the money is to make informative materials for teachers and educational materials for students?  So, like, the only money teachers/unions/school districts are getting is money saved not having to pay for those things?  Or do you suspect that unions (or other parties) are getting money more directly?

 I'm really not sure, to tell you the truth. I just doesn't make sense that they are so ideologically captured without something pushing it. I find it hard to believe that educators with decades of experience are this naive.
