I like to describe to the banks that they are at the end of their golden age - like Compuserve and AOL were in the early days of the internet online publishers. Then the web came along and rewrote the rules for everything. The banks have two choices before them: try to hold onto what they have, or try to embrace the new opportunities of an open, interconnected financial system that is not controlled by anyone. “This train is not stopping!” (to paraphrase @LynAlden )
