Wait .. don't tell me you didn't know? Like, with the Fukushima thing .. Germany was very eager to abolish nuclear power altogether and go for renewables. Which in itself isn't a bad decision per se. The problem is that wind and sun are hyped and nuclear gets all the crap while there is plenty of development possible.
