Sometimes you don't know what your life experience will help you with, when someone else has a problem.
My daughter was laid off and I took time off to help her revise her resume and LinkedIn profile to pivot from being a recent college grad to a lean and hungry professional.
I hope this works for her.
She's impressed by my resume writing skills.
@11036f3d WTG! Just gotta work hard and show people you mean it. It's not easy today to gain trust. Here's a crazy piece of life advice, and admittedly it's not always possible, but lets imagine the perfect job for whomever. You can have that job, IF, you can prove it won't cost them anything. Each is an expense to the company, but if you show what you do is covered, usually by double, you're in. Maybe don't take the full approach, but toy with the notion in your mind a little.
@11036f3d I could use your help, apparently I'm unhireable outside of my current job
@11036f3d I could use your help, apparently I'm unhireable outside of my current job, and I'm not paying Linda Lupatkin's fees
@11036f3d my son left uni during lockdown and his ideal job was no longer. He had taken awful jobs just to stay employed. " it's easier to get a job if you have a job"
It will pay off eventually.
