Wikipedia has taken down an article about a defamation lawsuit filed by Asian News International (ANI) against Wikimedia Foundation, its parent organization. This is the first instance of an English Wikipedia article being removed in response to a court order. The Delhi High Court ruled that the article's characterization of ANI as spreading pro-government propaganda and engaging in partisan campaigning was prejudicial to the proceedings.
