Oddbean new post about login | logout Becuase people who use #Amethyst need a seperate wallet they either zap and need to open the other app which people get tired of, or use Alby Connect but again not everybody wants to do that so they just 'like' and dont zap. i assume #amsthyst has a huge user base.
NWC for the win. I use Amethyst and don't even have to open another app. I do run a lightning node though, so there's that.
but thats kinda my point. Does Damus have a built in wallet? Primal is good for zapping but not #amethyst because users are lazy (im speaking for myself) i dont want to run a node and set all this stuff up.
You don't have to run a node with amethyst to have one click zaps. Nwc allows a "one click zap" experience without leaving the app. It's up to you what type of wallet you connect to via the nwc.
Fair enough, but my question is about YOU, not everyone else.
Because I use Amethyst and I find it a pain to always have to open another app to zap. Otherwise I would zap all the time.
Does it not auto open the app? as a canuck you could use WoS and have it auto-approve amounts 21sats and below.
Again I don't want WoS. I just use Primal when I'm in the mood to zap.
I want you to know. I understand the barriers to zapping & it is not an easy thing. A zap, a comment, a quoted note these things all require inputs from the individual. Anyone can like a post, heck my kids have done it accidentally on other people's phones. A like has no value. I appreciate and yearn for effort from my community, that's why I zap. My zap is to just buy your attention for a second, it's a way to cut through the wall of notifications your cell throws at you. I don't want half asses social media of copied posts. I want life in its messy, bad angled, miss spelt ways. I want the emotion of being social good and bad because if I am not creating emotion, why am I here?
Lol my content cant even get a like. A woman can post a picture of her toe and get 50 likes. I can write 4 paragraphs of my deepest thoughts and not even get one like.
