Awesome! Same here, luckily with a little coaxing my starter is very active still. The only positive I can think of from that time, I learned a new skill! 

 That’s great you kept it living for so long! I’m gonna try and keep it going from now on :) 

 It lives, neglected, in the back of the fridge and is fed sporadically at best 😂. Best of luck and many more loaves!
