Add variations, incline, on knees, decline, wide, close, normal this will help spread the load and you will get a more even gain. I have never done it everyday either, now I'm on my third day and it's becoming more and more manageable. I do 25x4 spread throughout the day.
If you really want to do it, do what I used to do. Top of hour for 8 hours I’d do as many pushups I could in two minutes. Next day I’d rotate to crunches. Strong core helps everything 🫂 Ran every day. An accident took my ability to do many things, running being the biggest. 😭 WOW! Strong core helps everything, maybe I really am fine curating my honeycomb now 🤣

Don't start at 100. Your arms gave out before the chest (the primary target muscle of this exercise..) because your arms are the weakest link at the moment. Aim to do a bit more progressively each day, and have some rest days here and there.
