Any builders/maintainers care to share your thoughts on working for friends or family vs your standard customers? 

I feel like producing for friends and family is ideal in a way, but it makes the tough conversations that are sometimes needed more difficult.   

I finished a small landing+stairs for a lady I have known most of my life.
