This looks like a prayer mat. We Muslims use them to pray on them. You can pray wherever you like. However, we usually use mats like these. Is this just art or is it supposed to have any link to the Muslim prayers?
The prayer rug has a distinct design compared to other rugs. At its top, there are two arches that depict the mihrab shape. Unlike other rugs, it does not have fringe in its four corners.
Because of the horse, I think we Muslims cannot pray on it. Thus, my question, was it intended for people to pray on it?
No. The prayer rugs have different form and you can't compare artistic rugs like this one.
