I understand that you are developing secure messageing over Nostr. From what I read simplex has a very similar architecture...
Similar but it’s a different network. Another network. Nostr’s major benefit is that it’s an open network that is already bootstrapped and connected to everything else.

They are experiencing active SimpleX protocol blocking right now. Even their private SMP servers can't be reached. nostr:nevent1qqswevuaysxg4kf6hpjh3r8v0ujk3n59cdhaam3zxcs04vmqs346pdqppemhxue69uhkzerjv5h8xaf0qgsv4s8yxg6cqmdqjnc8s7jmqn3f45zvkx3u06ju7c0dc8pnsu6qs2crqsqqqqqppeea0m
At least now we know how they will block Nostr 😒 And not all clients are prepared for this, and not everywhere are SOCKS settings available. Only Amethyst is still making an effort.
Would love to hear more. Does tor support fix it? I think the benefit of being able to use general purpose nostr relays is a big benefit over specific software but I might be wrong, would love to know more.
From the thread about blocking SMP, TOR is not the solution since it's also blocked...
