 "Jews" is translated incorrectly from  Ἰουδαίους in the original Greek. It means Judeans, as in from the geographical area, not "Jew" which means a follower of a specific religion. 
 I get my definition of 'Jew' from Paul's epistles to the Romans and the Galatians... 🤙

 The argument of Romans (esp. ch. 9), and that of Galatians. But in a verse, Gal. 3:29 will do. Or Phil. 3:3. Both in context.

Those who are of the same *faith8 of Abraham (in Christ)--not just the same *blood*--are the offspring of Abraham, and subject to all the promises. 
 This doesn't seem to fit the context, though... 
 Agree--what's the incentive to be named among the inhabitants of a geographical area? Why boast about that? It seems clear to me that, whoever the verses refer to, they are the opposite of what they purport to be...
