Bitcoin is better than Monero because there is a HUGE amount of energy invested in protecting the network and ensuring that blocks are produced according to the consensus rules.
The amount of energy invested in Monero is a drop in the bucket in comparison. Not to mention the ready availability of mining hardware.
Playing devils advocate here
but there are *always* tradeoffs.
Well, this huge amount of energy is centralized isn't ? Can average people have significant impact on the network security or it's only big farms ?
like I said
tradeoffs
You can have an immutable chain that's virtually unfuckwithable,
if the energy is somewhat centralized.
