Hi all! o/ I'm looking for an "air-gapped" wallet app for Android that could sign transactions on Sparrow. The plan is to install it on an old phone, open the phone and physically remove/disable de Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chips and then use this device to sign transactions on a multi sign Sparrow wallet. I'm looking for something like @SeedSigner but without the need to source parts (yes, I live in the internet ghetto, AKA Brazil, and it's painful, expensive and a REALLY SLOW process to source the needed parts to build a seedsigner device). Till now I gave a look on Electron, but couldn't make it work and I'm about to test Airgap Vault, although the idea of leaving the keys stored on a device does makes me feel uneasy and I'm still not sure if I will be able to make it work. Any other apps that you would recommend? =)
Why not use an ARM board instead?
The worst part to order is the screen... Also, there is the expensive factor and so on.
Less expensive than removing parts of a SoC
Afaik the antenas aren't part of the SoC no? (And I'm looking at good enough, not perfect)
Sometimes they are. Especially for Bluetooth. Check the layout of your phone SoC.
Ouch... ='( Well... Do a warm wallet using the Android and meanwhile source/build the seedsigner.
Why not get a hardware wallet? It's pretty much exactly what you want.
Hmmm... Any hardware wallet that is fully air-gapped, can do multisig and works based in QR codes to recommend mate?
Quick search suggests Trezor. I've never used a hardware wallet. If I needed one, I'd make one myself.
Yeah... I will most likely invest the time and money to build a seedsigner. Good thing that AirGap Vault works for my immediate needs. Thanks in any case man! =)
Welcome. You are likely greatly overestimating your threat level. Hardened Android in airplane mode is totally fine. $300 you put into building and configuring your own wallet is well worth it in terms of gained skill. The scene needs more physical projects like that instead of another bullshit service for speculation
