Bro, I was born and raised in Silicon Valley. It used to be an innovative place oh like 40 years or so, but then got corrupted and over hyped by fake people and fake money.  

Every10 years a hoard of people come here and think being a cog at big tech is glorious and then their dreams are shattered because its not what its all chalked up to be. 

Every 10 years or so a hoard of people then move out of the bay area when the market crashes and layoffs en masse. Those who do make something?  They buy a million dollar house, tear it down then spend 3 years remodeling it, move in for 3 years, then go bankrupt cuz and then move out within a decade. Irrational exuberance and hubris doesn't last. 

My 2 Sats : Ignore the status quo that keeps shitting on you, your crazy ideas and your dreams.  Put these "top of trend followers"  on Mute. 

That's what I do. It keeps me sane.

Build your own business or project, and grind at it like there's no tomorrow. This is where its at, and where its always been.
