The essential in architecture is to translate the ethos of a civilization, that's why the quote "architecture is poetry in stone". When I said about aesthetic it might sound futile by modern eyes, but actually aesthetics is the metaphysical touch of craft haha in order to translate this connection with people's souls in stone, you must have a good relationship with the transcendental of aesthetics. That's why the only technical thinking of engineering is not enough.
