there's lots of science now saying that we are more likely to see cooling due to the conditions of our sun and the energy coming from the galaxy (and magnetic fields)

for ~1200 years everyone was starving, it was cold and wet, storms, volcanoes and earthquakes were frequent, and then according to many stories, a giant fire dragon flew through the sky, it was reported from west of india across africa and southern europe, and it probably blew up and a bunch of big hot rocks slammed into some parts of what is now USA forming lakes in several places

the most likely scenario is in fact that we are going to get bombarded with solar energy because the earth's magnetic field is weakening due to a galactic magnetic field oscillation cycle, there are unusual weather patterns going on, on venus, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune and pluto, all of them unprecedented since we have been watching these planets

and that's just the warmup, when it fully peaks out, the sun will flare like a son of a bitch, throw out so much gas that a few years later there will be thousands of new little rocks floating around and they will ram everything in sight as well, and the earth's crust may well rotate so that the north pole is now in the Gulf of Mexico
