 Has that actually been an issue for gif libraries like tenor or giphy? That seems like really, really low risk, imo. And it’s not like having that option disallows someone from posting with another method of they are worried or take issue with it. 🤔

 My main issue is 1 req/s api limit and the fact it would require me to implement it on the server side because api because it’s a google api.

The goal of damus is that it only needs standard relays to operate, its a pure client. if I can somehow gather gifs from the network and use those instead that would be ideal.
