@2fd7551e I started following your blog@ account recently, and this was the first one o noticed come through. I wonder if there is a better way to do the footnotes on here? Whenever one comes up it’s just a number, like this6. Could they maybe be inline in [ and ]s? Is there a better way? I’d prefer not to have the numbers at all over how they currently are, although having the footnotes readable would be best

Hi! Yes, footnotes are a bit tricky. Sadly, Mastodon doesn't support the superscript tag <sup> which limits how I can format them.
I will work on this at the weekend and see if I can find a way to fix it.

 @2fd7551e if you want a short term solution, you could always use something like this^1 to indicate a footnote and then just include them at the bottom of the post. That at least helps the mind not read “this1” as all one word. Anyway, I’m sure you’ve got ideas too

Good plan. The footnotes do appear at the bottom of the text, but I need to find a way to indicate then properly.
