This is the best piece I’ve read about the elections in the US if you care a lot about the genocide in Gaza. We need to be strategic and understand the system within which we live while we work to change it.

Vote for the war machine party to stop the war machine, got it
I’m having a hard time not reading it the same way…

Sure, it’s nuanced, but the takeaway is the same. If you vote 3rd party you’re “part of the problem” but don’t worry if we all just keep voting for status quo we’ll be able to change policy after the election. Does anyone actually believe that?
i remember an expression, "oh bomb yeah"

pentagon and bureaucracy depend on new laws and new wars

federal government will never be anything but an imperial force
so you are a trumpist now?
The United States will never stop slaughtering people in the middle east until we remove their ability to pay for it. Gaza is actually very small compared to what WE (nato) did in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria etc...

I think basically since Vietnam has proven it doesn't matter how you vote, they print money and murder with the proceeds, the puppet in office 4 years may change but the military industrial complex has fully taken root.

If all of this had to be paid for by taxes, none of it would be possible. So that's one reason why bitcoiners say "fix the money, fix the world"
 THIS 👆
There was still evil under a gold standard. We can expect the same under a Bitcoin standard. It's just money nothing more nothing less.

If anything we can expect to see the equivalent of the $10 wrench attack except with nukes.
Nope. Gold made violence profitable because of its physicality. Bitcoin makes violence extremely unprofitable.
People sleep so keep saying dumb things like that.

Once we are on a Bitcoin standard the military industrial complex will also accept Bitcoin. Why wouldn't halliburton, Raytheon, And Lockheed Martin accept the hardest money ever?

Instead of backing the Saudis for oil maybe we end up backing El Salvador and destroying their enemies.
Who will pay those war companies? How will they turn a profit?

 I accept your surrender.
I'm not joking. Read my bio.
Gold wasn’t accessible to most people. Its properties were not conducive to democratized money.

Bitcoin fixes that.
 how is gold not accessible?
If you were a peasant who swept floors, you weren’t getting paid in gold.
Not sure if you looked around at the current state of things. But if we stayon this trajectory peasants will get paid in custodial ecash. And I'd rather have silver.
 Or copper.
Or s*** I'm a welder you can definitely pay me an aluminum or stainless steel.
Yep. Presidents are just temporary employees in permanent power structures.
Not to step in a beehive, but there's actually an easy solution that would remove American agency and debate on this question altogether.

Just ending US aid to Israel.

This is a consistent theme in American Jewish press and actually a major talking point for several pro-Israeli analysts. Israel is wealthy enough as a nation now, and can issue bonds if it wants additional (and necessary) funds for defense.

Making diaspora politics something so central to the American experiment and policymaking is dangerous and injurious to all kinds of liberty at home, and it also completely warps democratic order in Israel in a way that many Israelis and Arabs also resent.
