Cacao Criollo

.01% of the world's  cacao is this species.  It is the rarest  and finest of them all. I had the pleasure of tasting this fruit today.  I will save and plant all of the seed pods in hopes that they will help reforest the land.

 incredible.  striking flavor. bright acidity, sweet, creamy pulp. slight banana flavor, hint of pineapple, and green peanut.
