 Tbf I wasn’t stuck with Windows. I also ran Slackware off floppies, then went to SuSE Professional 7. 
 I didn't use Slackware but SuSE did. 🤙 
 SuSE used to be the bomb. It’s still good, but I can’t trust it until they get done selling themselves back and forth. They just sold again. 🤦‍♂️ 
 I can understand you. I usually try different Linux flavors but for everyday life I like Ubuntu. 
 Same. I’m giving Nix a run right now. Fedora at work. 
 Man, I really liked nix 🤙 
 So far so good. I don’t like that they don’t respect the .config folder though. Neovim config can’t be shared with my other ‘nix’s. 
 I had Red Hat 6 that got free in a Linux for Dummies book back then. 

It didn't last because I had one of those awful winmodems and couldn't get online.
