The crash of the #euro is continuing today. It is likely to gather pace when the fragile banking system of the #eurozone is targeted by the markets. The #EU in its centralization mania is economically naked and the clock is ticking. What amazes me is the stubbornness with which the Europeans refuse to adapt #bitcoin!
It's mind blowing, most ppl are just part of the herd, 'just gotta work a little bit harder'
bitcoin is actually not an issue at all here where I am in Spain. there is no significant adaptation at all, on the contrary, people reject it harshly when they hear it.
I am the only person I know, personally, in The UK who owns any. I speak to some very smart people, each of them have heard of it but each one, nope🙄.
i always wonder where these fantasy figures of adoption come from in our bitcoiner circles. some talk about a 1 percent global adoption which, if i'm not mistaken, should be about 80 million bitcoin owners.
I actually think that figure probably isn't too far off the mark, globally, maybe a bit less, with a hell of a lot of it, State-side.
we will have to let ourselves be surprised...
I managed to pay my daughter's judo teacher in Bitcoin. Gen Z are not quite as bad as the average freedom-hating Spanish person.
congratulations. i've thrown in the towel, the family are bitcoiner one two friends and that's enough i've done my bit.
EU friends of mine don't see a point in studying Bitcoin, they act like 'it's for criminals' and are probably afraid to do 'illegal' things, they forgot the point of saving money, in like 10-15 years, but are happy it's 'not as bad here as in other countries' (spreading fear from the media works, I guess) and just do what everybody does, get a job, get a loan, make kids, have a beer on Friday's, repeat. Now in our mid 30's they have no time or energy and just keep doing what they're doing... I've seen them all gradually change into the same empty shell (with voting rights!) Prices basically 20fold since the introduction of the euro and now that most of our parents are retiring they recieve hardly any pension (free broken back included) and as long as they have something or somebody to point the finger they will continue doing the same shit over and over.. they're all blind and distracted... unfortunately a total collapse of the system would be the best thing for everyone.
I call this programmed or rehearsed ignorance
The EU is also expanding. To the east. There is very little understanding of Bitcoin in the EU. All of the material about bitcoin online is in English and not in Italian French or German etc.
but the language barrier shouldn't be a problem in this day and age with AI translation technology, should it?
The technology is new and not everyone has it in the EU
