well, i think the main thing is that most of the centralised social intermediaries presume copyright on messages and they don't give anything resembling evidence that a court could adjudicate on whereas nostr events are verifiably the product of their authors, very high quality of evidence in a court

i don't really care about that stuff, because if i hate someone that bad i don't dig up dirt i just blot them out of my life and avoid everything about them that i can, i might even migrate if this person cannot be avoided but yes, two things: you can't stop people from gathering workable evidence you can't stop this evidence being generated unless you don't generate it
