Almost 570,000 voters in three key battleground states - Nevada, North Carolina, and Michigan - voted for Haley in the Republican nominating contest. Many Haley voters have questioned if they still have a place in the Republican Party, which has rallied around Trump despite his false claims about the 2020 election and the January 6th Capitol riot. Biden, who is 81 years old, will need as much support as possible for his reelection campaign, as recent polls show his approval rating at 40% and a tight race with Trump, who is 77 years old.
